There are three stages of blocks, which are slightly different versions of themselves creating a vast wealth of decorations and color variances to make way more cool looking structures and towns!  Even in just building mode, there is a massive wealth of new blocks which makes this mod worth checking out!  In survival it makes storage a million times (sometimes literally) easier.  No more throwing away cobble or having hundreds of chests just for that reason, just condense it down to one chest full of thousands upon thousands of blocks instead of just maybe a thousand or so total.
